A global food distribution company in Richmond, BC area is looking for an Bilingual Sales Representative. This is a full-time, direct hire position.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage a portfolio of existing and prospective accounts, driving sales growth and meeting revenue targets
- Serve as the main point of contact for Japanese and English-speaking clients, handling inquiries, orders, and contract negotiations
- Develop strategic account plans to expand product offerings and market share
- Coordinate with supply chain, marketing, and operations teams to ensure on-time delivery and product availability
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and regular performance reports to stakeholders
- Resolve customer issues promptly, escalating when necessary to maintain high levels of satisfaction
- Provide feedback to product development and quality assurance teams on customer preferences and market requirements
Requirements Include:
- Fluent level of Japanese and English language.
- Korean or/and Chinese is also plus.
- Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Management or Marketing or related field
- Minimum of 1 year experience in account management, sales, or customer service within the food industry.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with clean record
- Ability to travel up to 50% locally, with occasional overnight travel required.
- Strong leadership skills in team environment and skills to bring positive atmosphere to the team
- Ability to be flexible to work effectively with wide variety of people and to work responsibly and effectively in a multicultural environment
- Excellent communication (Speaking, Writing, Reading, Listening) and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task and perform duties time efficiently
- Team-worker, Detail-oriented, Responsible, Punctual, Self-motivated
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
