Job Statement
Primary responsibility of the Inventory Controller is to ensure that inventory controls and processes are implemented to attain accuracy and maintaining integrity throughout production
Essential Functions
- Conduct physical inventory of products and manage inventory as directed
- Use SAP and WMS for inventory investigations and reconciliation
- Conduct Inventory transactions frequently in order to maintain system accuracy
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure that inventory discrepancies are reconciled in a timely manner
- Prepare cycle count sheets and reconcile discrepancies; share findings with different departments for visibility and tracking
- Updating inventory count and maintaining inventory records to share with management and other stakeholders in the business
- Assess inventory needs for production based on lots and quantities; ensure that correct lots and quantities are staged to be consumed
- Keep work station clean, neat and free of potential safety hazards at all times
- All other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Physical Demands
- Heavy lifting is may be required
- May be required to walk, stand or sit for long periods of time
- May engage in bending, stooping or squatting
- Forklift operation is required to move inventory safely between locations
- Due to the environment, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions which include extreme heat, humidity and cold
Health and Safety
- Conduct all Job Tasks in a Safe and Responsible manner.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting / handling procedures
- Participate in all Health and Safety, GMP and HACCP training as required.
- Report any accidents, incidents and unsafe/hazardous conditions to your leadhand/supervisor.
- Report any damages of property and machinery to your leadhand/supervisor.
- Ensure that you understand how and when to use the Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) that is located in your work area.
- Ensure you comply with OHSA, WSIB, MOL regulations and/or laws that govern “workers” responsibilities in the workplace (covered during orientation – section 28 of the OHSA i.e., “Green Book”) and Comply with Tradition Fine Foods Ltd. Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices, and HACCP Programs
Job Specifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- College Diploma preferably in Supply Chain or Inventory Management
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Excellent math and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and understand measurements and written/verbal instructions
- Exhibits good communication skills and has ability to work as part of a team
Valid forklift license for counterbalance and Raymond Reach
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Own safety shoes
