Human Resources Generalist
Penn-co Construction is a leading construction company currently hiring a Human Resources Generalist to join our team working at our Steinbach office. As the Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for handling labour relations activities and recruitment processes. Penn-co offers an excellent benefits package and competitive salary. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Negotiate job offers and extend employment offers to select candidates.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with labour unions and employee representatives.
- Address employee relations issues, conducting thorough and objective investigations as needed.
- Handle grievances, labour disputes, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations.
- Conduct investigations related to employee complaints and workplace issues.
- Provide guidance and support to management on labour relations issues.
- Maintain employee records and HR documents with accuracy
- Other HR duties as assigned
Qualification
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in labour relations and recruitment.
- Knowledge of labour laws, collective bargaining, and employment practices.
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record in talent acquisition and recruitment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
