Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Health & Safety Advisor with a strong background in crane operations and lifting activities. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and company safety standards relating to mobile cranes, tower cranes, and hoisting equipment. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert, providing leadership and guidance on all crane-related health and safety initiatives across our project.Come join our True Blue team on site today!
Essential Responsibilities:
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of crane and lifting safety programs
- Conduct hazard assessments, critical lift planning, and risk analysis for crane operations
- Provide technical expertise to site teams regarding crane setup, load charts, rigging, signaling, and safe lifting practices
- Perform site inspections, audits, and incident investigations specific to crane and lifting operations
- Deliver training and toolbox talks to operators, riggers, and supervisors on crane safety requirements
- Ensure compliance with all applicable occupational health and safety legislation, WorkSafe regulations, and CSA/ANSI standards
- Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to drive a strong safety culture
- Track safety metrics, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to reduce risk
Qualifications:
- CRSP, CHSC, or equivalent professional safety designation (or working toward one)
- Minimum 5 years of health & safety experience in the construction, heavy equipment, or crane industry
- In-depth knowledge of crane operations, rigging practices, and applicable regulatory standards
- Experience developing and delivering safety training programs
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and incident investigation skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities with a proven track record of influencing safe work practices

- This is a site based position
Compensation
$68,800 to $94,600 annually
This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
