We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Housing Coordinator who will play a supportive role in matters related to the housing department. Duties
- Coordinates communication with prospective and current residents, including handling inquiries, applicant interviews and tours, and managing resident orientation and ongoing support
- Process applications, input data for point scoring, and assess eligibility and completeness
- Contacts applicants when a vacancy occurs and prepares all necessary documentation for commencement of residency including lease documents
- Responsible for maintaining and updating the waiting list consistently, ensuring records are accurate and up to date
- Liaisons between residents and all departments to resolve resident issues
- Deals with resident and family complaints, grievances, issues, and concerns
- Coordinates move-in/move-out service requests with maintenance department
- Works with community partners and stakeholders to ensure the best housing solution is achieved for our residents and potential residents
- Interprets and implements housing legislation
- Participates in Annual Tenant Meetings with Director of Housing
- Utilize Yardi and RentCafe platforms to manage property operations
- Travel between the Administration Office and resident buildings is required
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification from a recognized post-secondary educational institute is preferred
- High school diploma and 5 years related experience in an office environment
- Valid Driver’s License
- Clear criminal record check
The ideal candidate excels at multitasking and balancing shifting priorities while maintaining a high standard of customer service. With excellent verbal and written communication skills, they possess strong interpersonal abilities and a solid understanding of the needs of seniors. Knowledge of relevant legislation and housing regulations is a strong asset.
This position is four days per week and reports directly to the Director of Housing. It is eligible for group health benefits and pension contributions through LAPP, following the completion of a designated waiting period.
