We are currently looking for a full-time Houseperson to join our team.
Responsibilities as a Houseperson:
- Supporting Room Attendants by restocking supplies such as linens, glasses, and amenities.
- Answering guest calls via a radio and delivering the requested amenity.
- Assisting in cleaning and maintaining the hotel daily in an efficient and timely manner.
- Upholding the highest standards for cleanliness of guest-rooms and public areas, including service elevators, laundry, storage rooms, hallways, and stairwells.
- Maintaining the lobby and dining areas.
- Assisting Room Attendant by stripping any vacant or dirty rooms when necessary.
- Moving furniture and moving garbage and waste.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations and standards, and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Participates in the daily standup meetings.
- Demonstrating appropriate Marriott service behaviours.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Proven ability to juggle many tasks, simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- An eye for detail and dedication to ‘doing things right the first time’.
- Ability to be self-directed and work cooperatively within a team setting with minimum supervision.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job (i.e., lifting up to 50-lbs, moving 75lbs, bending, kneeling, reaching).
- Must be able to stand, walk and bend for 8 hours.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
