About the Role:
As a Housekeeping Room Associate, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests by ensuring guest rooms and assigned areas are cleaned and maintained to Hyatt’s high standards. As part of the pre-opening team, you will contribute to the initial setup of guest rooms and help establish housekeeping procedures to ensure a successful hotel launch.
Job Responsibilities:
- Clean and service guest rooms according to Hyatt brand standards, including making
beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, and replenishing amenities.
- Ensure refrigerators, coffee makers, glassware, and other in-room items are cleaned
and restocked as required.
- Notify the supervisor upon completion of room cleaning so rooms can be released
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or rooms unable to be serviced
promptly.
- Respond to guest requests and complaints courteously
- Maintain linen carts in a neat, clean, and organized manner.
- Ensure the proper handling, security, and care of keys, equipment, and cleaning
supplies.
- Log and report all lost and found items according to hotel procedures.
- Support deep cleaning projects and assist with turndown service when required.
- Promote teamwork and collaborate with other departments to provide excellent
guest service.
- Assist in pre-opening room setup, organizing supplies, and ensuring readiness for
opening day.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel setting is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
- Friendly, professional, and hospitality-focused attitude.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically able to lift up to 30 lbs, push carts, stand for extended periods, and perform
repetitive cleaning tasks.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a team-oriented mindset.
Health & Safety:
- Follow Hyatt’s Health & Safety Program and departmental safety procedures.
- Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and handle cleaning chemicals safely.
- Report all accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions immediately to a supervisor.
- Participate in health and safety initiatives and contribute to a safe workplace.
- Support the “Clean as You Go” policy to maintain safe and efficient operations.
