Job Summary
The Maintenance Person is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of facilities and equipment. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and implementing preventive measures to maintain a safe and efficient working environment. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set in mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance, along with strong leadership qualities.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical components.
- Perform welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Utilize schematics to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Oversee residential painting projects to maintain aesthetic standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with staff or clients regarding maintenance concerns.
- Supervise maintenance staff, providing guidance and leadership to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address any facility-related issues impacting production.
Skills
- Proficient in electrical experience and mechanical knowledge relevant to facility maintenance.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and the ability to work with ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics.
- Strong understanding of schematics for troubleshooting various systems.
- Experience in residential painting techniques and standards.
- Previous supervising experience in a maintenance or facilities role is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Knowledge of CMMS for tracking maintenance activities and inventory management.
- Leadership skills to motivate and guide team members in achieving maintenance goals.
