Job description
Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, responsibilities and essential job functions include but not limited to the following:
- Carry out various functions within the laundry department
- Sort soiled linen and report any damaged or marked linen
- Load and unload washing machines and dryers as required.
- Fold all linen and place in proper shelves
- Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies
- Cleaning guest rooms if required
- Previous housekeeping experience is an asset
- Excellent organizational skills and time management
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, overtime shifts, split shifts and holiday
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Previous laundry experience an asset

Physical Aspects of position (include but are not limited to):
- constant standing and walking throughout shift
- ability to push up to 50-lbs
