Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Reading and interpreting job specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
- Frequent use of measurement tools.
- Hoisting, loading, and securing components into Hone
- Operation of hone to achieve required prep and finish dimensions specified in scope of work documents. Precision up to 0.0005”.
- Use of tools such as hand grinder, dot welder, die grinder and other hand tool safely and proficiently.
- Determine and monitor the feed and speed of machines as well as abrasive selection for honing
- Observe operating machines and equipment to prevent, and if needed, diagnose machine malfunctions requiring maintenance, adjustments, or repair
- Lift or hoist work pieces
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Parts movement on the shop floor.
Requirements
- Honing experience preferred but training can be provided if needed.
- Applicants with technical training or technical experience preferred.
- Experience in machine shop environment an asset
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
