What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Head Seed Treater will provide leadership among a diverse group and liaison with outside suppliers.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing all aspects of seed treatment operations of the Brandon Agro site, ensuring efficient and effective seed protection.
- This role will involve managing the seed treating team, and ensuring compliance with regulations
Train and supervise seed treatment staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Possess a deep understanding of seed treatment products, their application guidelines and relevant safety regulations
- Ensure that all seed treatment processes meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues related to seed treatment, ensuring timely and accurate responses
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations related to seed treatment, including those related to pesticide use and handling
- Stay current on the latest seed treatment technologies and best practices
- Dump seed into bins and manage seed bin inventory
- Clean and maintain seed treatment equipment
Who you are:
- You have excellent customer service and leadership skills
- You are well organized and are highly motivated
- Previous agriculture experience
You have the ability to work independently without supervision
Previous seed treating experience an asset
