We are a family owned & operated Pub Style Restaurant that has been a part of Stoney Creek for nearly 30 years. Having just over 70 seats, plus take out, we are a high volume, fast paced, quick turnover type of setting! We are open 7 days/week, but with some of the best hours in the bar business.... Monday-Thursday 11a.m - 12a.m, Friday 11 a.m-1 a.m, Saturday 10 a.m- 11 p.m, Sunday 10 a.m- 10 p.m. We are looking to hire an EXPERIENCED, (in our menu items), cook to join our team. Please visit our menu on line & if you don't have the experience in these type of items, please don't waste our time. We are much too busy to train from the ground up! Shifts will be a variety of days, evenings and weekends! You must have your own transportation as the bussing is limited on weekends and holidays! Tip outs ranging from 50-100 dollars per week. Minimum 2 references required. 30-40 hours per week. Pay rate is 20 dollars per hour for the first 4 weeks and will raise to 24 dollars per hour after 4 weeks of perfect attendance! APPROX 30 HR PER WEEK
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and portion sizes
- Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or needs
-Have a valid Food Handler's Certificate
-Work independently and/or work on the line
Experience:
-Maintain speed & Quality in a high volume, quick turn over setting
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
