Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to fill a Concierge / Cleaning hybrid position at a condominium building in downtown Kitchener. This role is highly visible, as the Concierge is the primary on-site representative of the property. Professionalism, consistency, and the ability to follow established processes are critical.
In addition to concierge duties, this role includes light cleaning responsibilities in the morning hours before the full-time cleaning staff begins their shift. Cleaning duties are primarily focused on maintaining the presentation of the lobby, main floor and amenity room.
This is a Monday to Friday position, 8:00am to 4:00pm. On average, approximately one hour per day will be spent on cleaning tasks.
Job Requirements
- Strong commitment to maintaining a safe, orderly, and professional building environment.
- 1–2 years of experience in a customer service, security, or concierge role preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of cleaning or janitorial experience preferred, training will be provided.
- Ability to remain professional and composed when interacting with residents, visitors, and vendors, including when addressing conflicts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn and work with building management software.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Concierge Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for residents, guests, contractors, and vendors.
- Respond to email and telephone inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor resident portal and assist with service requests.
- Assist with move-in/move-out procedures
- Monitor security systems, review footage, maintain incident logs, and prepare reports when required.
- Monitor parking and assist with calling by-law to issue tickets when necessary.
- Conduct weekly and monthly building inspections as assigned.
- Program and manage resident FOBs, intercom, and access systems.
- Ensure compliance with property rules and regulations.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as distributing communications and posting notices.
- Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner.
Cleaning Responsibilities
- Conduct light cleaning of high-traffic areas in the mornings, including:
- Lobby, elevators, and entryways
- Restrooms (cleaning and stocking)
- Floors (vacuuming, sweeping, mopping)
- Removal of litter around the grounds
- Use step ladder and cleaning equipment as needed.
- Ensure areas remain clean and presentable throughout shift.
Working Conditions
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Compensation
- Starting wage: $21.50/hour
