Job Overview
The Front of House Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant's front-of-house activities. This position is responsible for overseeing customer service, managing staff, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
This is a blended role that will see you performing FOH Manager duties on certain days as well as some server shifts.
Duties
- Supervise daily front-of-house operations to ensure high standards of service and hospitality.
- Train, develop, and manage staff to enhance performance and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Oversee inventory control and cash handling procedures to maintain accurate financial records.
- Collaborate with kitchen management to ensure seamless communication between front and back of house.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Implement food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in budgeting and financial planning for the front-of-house operations.
- Manage shift schedules and coordinate staffing needs based on business demands.
- Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and high morale among staff.
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality management.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling practices.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Touch Bistro.
- Experience in cash handling and inventory control processes.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management and staff training.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry.
- Experience in casual dining, fine dining, or quick service & fast food restaurant settings is preferred.
