Foran Mining Corporation (TSX:FOM) is a forward-thinking mining company redefining the industry. We are seeking a Fixed Plant Maintenance General Foreperson to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 7/7 rotation.

Foran Mining is a modern mining development and exploration company advancing Canada's only greenfield copper project currently under construction: the McIlvenna Bay deposit in Saskatchewan. With commercial production expected in mid-2026, this world-class deposit contains copper, zinc, gold, and silver – key metals for the global transition to green energy. At Foran, we are committed to sustainable development, environmental protection, and building strong communities. We believe in empowering our people, fostering a culture of growth, and creating opportunities for meaningful careers as we build the mines of the future.

As part of the Fixed Maintenance Team, the Fixed Plant Maintenance General Foreperson will be responsible for leading and managing a team of fixed maintenance supervisor, technicians (Millwrights), and support staff engaged in the maintenance and repair of all Fixed Assets at the mine site. This role involves planning, coordination, and supervision of maintenance activities to ensure the safe and reliable operation of fixed assets, compliance with maintenance schedules, and adherence to safety standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager on plans and schedules for fixed plant equipment (e.g., crushers, conveyors, pumps)
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime
  • Coordinate maintenance work to align with production and equipment availability
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and reinforce safety culture
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety issues
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems
  • Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment
  • Ensure parts and materials are available to reduce downtime
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
  • Prepare reports on equipment performance, downtime, costs, and inventory
  • Provide maintenance updates to management
  • Identify training needs and support development of team skills
  • Stay current on industry best practices and emerging technologies
  • Support maintenance budgeting, cost estimation, and controls

Job Qualifications and Skills:

  • Red Seal in a mechanical trade or related education (preferred)
  • 7+ years in fixed equipment maintenance, including 4+ years in a supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Proven leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with safety regulations and environmental compliance
  • Proficient with CMMS (Pronto) and computer applications
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive starting salary range of $120,000 - $128,000/year based on experience and qualifications. Annual discretionary short term incentive award at a percentage of base salary, rewarding exceptional contributions to team and company success.

Our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Employer paid health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life and disability insurance
  • RSP with company match
  • Camp-based position with travel support

Foran is committed to building a skilled and diverse workforce as we move into our next phase of growth. Indigenous applicants are encouraged to self-declare when submitting applications and resumes. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, you must be legally able to work in Canada.

The McIlvenna Bay Project site is a drug and alcohol-free workplace. Due to the safety-sensitive nature of this position and the remote work environment, candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment, which includes drug and alcohol testing, as a condition of employment.
