JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Executive Chef, this hands-on culinary role supports the kitchen team in preparing high-quality meals and maintaining a smooth, efficient operation. Responsibilities include assisting with food preparation and plating, ensuring kitchen cleanliness and organization, monitoring food safety standards, and helping with inventory management. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Basic food preparation and cooking to order.
- Prepping ingredients, sauces, and garnishes according to recipes and standards.
- Maintain a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Adhere to safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.
- Maintain personal and professional cleanliness, appearance, and hygiene.
- Collaborate with sous chefs and executive chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in the English language.
- Two years’ experience cooking and preparing food (asset).
- Red Seal Certification (strong asset).
- Highly organized, flexible, and able to work well under pressure.
- High attention to detail; honest and reliable.
- Ability to take direction and embrace feedback.
