Carpenter – Disaster Restoration

Are you a talented Carpenter who takes pride in precision work and enjoys a fast-paced, hands-on environment? Rocky Cross Construction DKI, a leading disaster restoration contractor, is looking for a skilled Carpenter to join our team in Lethbridge, AB. You’ll work on both residential and commercial restoration projects—on-site and in-shop—ensuring quality repairs are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and follow project scopes, plans, and specifications
- Perform both rough and finish carpentry, including framing, trim, doors, windows, railings, and cabinetry
- Complete drywall repairs, painting, staining, tile installation (e.g., backsplashes) as required
- Understand and apply local building codes and safety standards
- Assist with minor plumbing and electrical tasks (e.g., disconnecting/reconnecting fixtures)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
- Work closely with the Project Manager and Construction Supervisor
- Deliver excellent customer service during all stages of the project
Qualifications & Skills
- Journeyman Carpenter certification (preferred) or equivalent practical experience
- Proficient in residential construction and renovation methods
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Comfortable working in confined spaces, on scaffolding, or at heights (training provided)
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems
Requirements
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License and clean abstract
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites in Lethbridge and surrounding areas
- WHMIS Certification (or willingness to complete upon hire)
- First Aid certification is an asset
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Must be available for Monday–Friday day shifts, with occasional weekend or on-call shifts
