Position Scope
BFI is looking for a Finish Excavator Operator to join our team at Syncrude.
Site: Syncrude Mildred Lake
Project: Firewater Line Project
Hourly Rate: $43.38
Shift schedule: 7 days, 7 nights, 7 off
Accommodations: Camp provided
Experience Required: Must have a minimum of 5 years experience working in live plant and around underground utilities on an excavator. Must be able to cut finish grade, build trench boxes, dig around live utilities. This project has a clean shaven policy.
Additional Comments:
- Successful candidates will be required to join the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955
- Benefits and pension are provided through Local 955
All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:
- CSTS-09 or CSTS 2020
- WHMIS 2015
- Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness - Energy Safety Canada only
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
- Ground Disturbance 201 (Level 2)
- Valid class 5 Driver's License
- Drivers abstract - must be a minimum of 3 years and within 30 days
- Other certification may be required based on site requirements
Successful candidates must:
- Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
- Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:
- Breath Alcohol Test
- Urine Drug Test
- Fit for Work Test
- Vision Test
Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.
