Job description
Looking to hire 10-20 workers for a takedown of an event. Work would include dismantling of mesh and material used on structures for the temporary event setup ( mesh, strapping, mesh on fences, bill boards, etc.) Great for anyone looking to get into the event/sport industry to see the behind the scenes. Also happy to hire a group of friends if more then one of you are applying.
This job would include both labours needed to carry material to dumpsters/ dismantle on the ground. Also would include some workers needed to work on genie booms ranging from 10-85 in the air to pull down the mesh used on it. So looking for people with their fall arrest/aerial lift tickets. You will have to be comfortable with working at heights. Hardhats, safety vest and steel toes to be provided by you. All other safety gear/tools will be provided by us.
Work would start mid September until mid November. Job is in the North York toronto area. May lead into other work in the event industy if you end up being a fit. Pay ranges depending on licenses you have ( able or willing to use a genie boom).
Responsibilities
- Dismantling off structures/fences/displays and carrying to dispose of them in a dumpster
- Would include some workers needed to work on genie booms ranging from 10-85 in the air to dismantle/pull fabric/mesh down
- Dismantle products and materials according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Sort and categorize components for reuse or recycling.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Assist in training new staff on proper dismantling techniques and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and support overall business objectives.
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role or environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Previous experience using a genie boom ( fall arrest/ Aerial lift licenses)
- Working at heights

Pay: $18.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
