Estimator -Temporary contract from September 2025 to March 202 (6 months)- project manufacturing customer in Fredericton (NB)
Description of Position and Specific Skills Requirements:
Our client in the energy field is looking for an Estimator. The Estimator acts on behalf of The Company and is responsible to provide cost estimating support to enable better project management decision making on required cost, schedule, and risk mitigation plans to maintain project delivery.
The project consists of extending the life of equipment, including maintenance, equipment upgrades, and environmental improvements. This position will be based at head office in Fredericton, NB with a limited amount of travel in the province occasionally.
On a daily basis you will have to:
· Prepares detailed estimate of project cost based on project scope provided by the Project Manager.
· Performing earned value analysis to support project management and executive reporting, including the development of improved processes for linking Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) costs and project schedules.
· Performs field visits to support estimates.
· Supports cost analyst in analyzing variances.
· Prepares updated project cost estimates as the project is further defined.
· Developing and maintaining project estimating procedures, guides, and templates that are aligned with The Company and industry best practices.
· Participates in post-mortem review of the estimates and incorporates any recommendations into subsequent estimates..
Requirements:
· University degree in Engineering OR an Engineering Technologist diploma.
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in an estimating function in capital construction projects.
· Detailed knowledge of estimating tools and databases.
· Experience in document creation and editing (Microsoft Office Products, including Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel).

- Ability to communicate in both English and French would be considered an asset.
- Ability to proactively detect challenges to safety, quality, cost and schedule that will ensure development and execution of effective prevention, mitigation, or corrective actions.
