We are SLR Consulting (Canada), a 600+ team of advisory, environmental/engineering, and regulatory professionals across 20 office locations in Canada. We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of advisory and over 30 technical environmental and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability, we are Making Sustainability Happen.
As a member of our Hydrogeology and Hydrology team, you’ll join a group of professionals that include hydrogeologists and hydrologists, engineers, geochemists, surficial geologists, ecologists, geomorphologists, technologists, technicians and environmental scientists to work in a dynamic and collaborative work environment on multi-disciplinary projects.
Specifically, you will:
- Conduct hydrology, geomorphology, hydrogeology, water quality, fisheries and aquatic resources field programs in remote locations
- Conduct field data collection, entry, and organization
- Be responsible for managing and analyzing large and complex datasets
- Support the preparation of high-quality technical reports and proposals
- Project coordination
- Work collaboratively under the mentorship and supervision of senior and intermediate technical staff

- The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000. Final agreed-upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.

Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree related to environmental science, physical geography, earth sciences, environmental engineering, or aquatic ecology. A graduate degree in related disciplines would be considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Python and/or a background in computer science and other applicable programming languages
- Experience with hydrology, geomorphology, groundwater, and groundwater field methods
- Flexibility and willingness to travel for fieldwork
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Registration (or eligibility for registration) as a Geoscientist in Training (G.I.T.), Engineer in Training (E.I.T.), Articling Agrologist (A.Ag.),in BC would be an asset
- Valid BC driver’s license
- Swiftwater training, ATV/UTV/Argo Safe Operations certifications are a strong asset.
