Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food (Greek kitchen) preparation and cooking, with the ability to lead and manage kitchen staff effectively. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Your leadership skills will be essential in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring exceptional service in our restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient food service.
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to minimize waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
- Collaborate with other departments to create seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends.
- Monitor food quality during preparation and service to maintain consistency in taste and presentation.
- Address any customer feedback or concerns promptly to enhance the dining experience.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience in a professional kitchen environment.
- Strong food preparation and cooking skills with an emphasis on creativity and presentation.
- Knowledge of food service operations, including restaurant management practices.
- Team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead kitchen staff effectively.
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and safety regulations in the food industry.
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, along with a solid understanding of hospitality principles.
- Excellent leadership abilities, capable of fostering teamwork and collaboration among staff members.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
