As our Document Control Student, you will join a team of information management professionals and deliver document control services to support information workflows to our key business areas. You will be responsible for the quality check, tracking, distribution, and archiving of engineering technical documentation through their lifecycle – from the design phase thru start-up to the operation phase – as per Canadian Natural standards and procedures.
- Job location: Calgary, AB – Head Office
- Shift schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, 8 hours/day (Monday – Friday)
- Term length: 12 months
- Term start: January 2026
Key Accountabilities:
- Support the Document Control department on the auditing and electronic document management system registration of engineering controlled documentation
- Quality check internal/external engineering, vendor documents, and other key technical information in support of our Capital Project portfolio and operations requirements
- Comply with the Company Document Control standards for controlled documents
- Maintain electronic document flow within project team, and from / to contractors or vendors where applicable
- Interface where applicable with external document control contractors (e.g. bulk loading, document reclassification, quality checks etc.)
- Deliver to Information Management related projects to improve quality and access to controlled information
What You Bring to the Role:
- Currently enrolled in your 1st year or higher of Business Administration, Information Management/Technology or related program at an accredited post-secondary institution
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills with the capability of working in a fast paced environment and multitasking
- Excellent team work skills with positive, adaptable and cooperative attitude; reliability and punctuality are a must
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
- Independent, self-motivated and accountable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
