THE ROLE
The Director of Suites, part of the Premium Services team at Rogers Centre, is responsible for delivering elevated food and beverage experiences in suites. This role emphasizes meticulous attention to detail and a guest-first mindset to ensure exceptional service that exceeds expectations.
Working alongside the Premium Director and VP of Operations, the Director of Suites will focus on achieving key business objectives, including enhanced service execution, cost and labour control, revenue growth, and strict adherence to company standards. All while fostering strong relationships with suite holders, our client and guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with suite clients and stakeholders, ensuring personalized, high-touch service that drives retention and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external clients when developing custom menus and execute events with precision and attention to detail.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for suite clients during events, anticipating needs and resolving issues swiftly and professionally.
  • Coordinate closely with our Culinary team to review, finalize, and execute food orders, ensuring accuracy and high-quality presentation.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and support Premium Services team members, ensuring service excellence in alignment with both Legends Hospitality guidelines and union agreements.
  • Develop and implement training programs focused on precision, service etiquette, and attention to small details that elevate the guest experience.
  • Oversee and manage inventory controls, par levels, product security, and monthly reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies, alcohol regulations, and Legends Hospitality standards.
  • Own financial performance related to suites, including food and beverage cost of sales (COS), labor management, and revenue generation.
  • Maintain a consistent premium service standard, including suite setup, menu presentation, food labeling, and overall event execution
  • Participate in operational and departmental projects to enhance the overall guest experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
  • Post-secondary education in relevant field is a definite asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in related field, suites, hotel room service or catering/restaurant management in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to multitask and time management skills.
  • Ability to anticipate potential challenges and resolve customer issues quickly and within company perimeters.
  • Team player – ability to mentor and motivate a large team with diverse backgrounds and skill sets.
  • Ability to train, monitor, mentor and discipline hourly unionized staff
  • Smart Serve and WHIMS certification.
  • Safe Food Handling certification.
  • SMART Serve Trained
  • Strong computer skills with a high degree of knowledge in word, excel, outlook mandatory
  • Display leadership skills; always conduct oneself in a professional manner.
  • Customer focused with emphasis on exceeding expectations and providing value for money.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage with a strong focus on current market trends.
