What is the opportunity?

The Director of Foreign Exchange (FX) & Deposits will be a key leader within RBC Caribbean Banking’s Products, Marketing & Digital team. This team is responsible for all products across Retail, Commercial, Cards, Merchant Acquiring, Investments, Private Banking, and Marketing. In addition, the team also leads the development of digital and automated solutions. Products, Marketing & Digital is leading the way to transform Caribbean Banking and driving growth and focused on delivering a simplified and exceptional experiences for all clients across the Caribbean.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for developing and executing the end-to-end strategy for FX & Deposit products which takes into consideration product value proposition, customer segments, channels, competition, macro-economic factors, digital innovation, marketing, pricing, and profitability.
  • Lead all activities with respect to the management of the FX & Deposit products including performance, KPIs and profitability management.
  • Actively partner with teams across the Caribbean and Enterprise to define a roadmap, and leverage funding to execute on initiatives to grow the FX & Deposit products
  • Work with Caribbean Banking partners, in particular Other Product Managers, Treasury, Sales, Operations, Technology, Legal & Compliance by impacting and influencing to design, develop and implement appropriate strategies, processes, policies and reporting which support the execution of the business strategy
  • Become the center of expertise (COE) and an escalation point for handling and addressing escalations related to FX & Deposits
  • Regularly present recommendations and opportunities to senior management and key Caribbean stakeholders
  • Track and ensure delivery of all action items related to audit items and regulatory requests.
  • Ensure FX & Deposit related risks across all products are flagged and proactively addressed and closed by working with key functional partners to address changes which help to improve the risk(s) for the product
  • Establish the appropriate framework to monitor and update policies and the controls to address changes in a timely manner
  • Ensure alignment between product construct, system set up, service delivery, client agreements, sales conversations and marketing execution

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Banking experience with at least 5 years in a managerial role
  • Ability to understand the bigger picture and build steps to solve complex problems
  • Effectively share ideas and capture the attention of your audience through different tools and tactics
  • Enhanced business and financial knowledge in order to make better decisions and prioritise limited resources
  • Be readily able to weigh-out multiple alternatives based on levels of risk and ambiguity
