Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and support in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Experience in a medical or dental office setting is highly desirable.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage multi-line phone systems, handling incoming calls and directing them appropriately.
- Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for providers.
- Collect patient information and verify insurance details accurately.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems, including Epic and Dentrix, to manage patient data efficiently.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
- Communicate effectively with both patients and staff regarding appointments, procedures, and office policies.
- Ensure compliance with medical terminology standards in all communications.
Experience
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is essential.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset.
- Strong front desk experience with excellent administrative skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
