Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Denture Technician to join our dental lab team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in producing high-quality dentures, including bite blocks, customer trays, and duplicate models, while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail. The role also involves working closely with the orthodontic department to assist with specialized cases and delivering cases for quality control approval.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce Bite Blocks & Customer Trays: Create accurate bite blocks and custom trays for the denture-making process to ensure proper fit and functionality.
- Duplicate Models: Skillfully duplicate models to facilitate the denture fabrication process while maintaining precision.
- Wax Up Denture Cases: Wax up and sculpt denture cases, ensuring proper anatomical form and fit.
- Invest Denture Cases: Prepare and invest denture cases for processing, following standard procedures to ensure quality results.
- Repair Denture Cases: Conduct repairs on damaged dentures, utilizing appropriate techniques and materials to restore function and appearance.
- Set Up and Finish Denture Cases: Perform set-up and finishing steps for completed denture cases, ensuring all elements are in line with customer specifications.
- Support Orthodontic Department: Assist the orthodontic department with specialized cases as needed, offering expert advice and technical support.
- Quality Control: Deliver completed cases to the lab manager for final inspection and quality control checks, ensuring each product meets high standards of excellence.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a denture technician with a strong understanding of denture production processes.
- Extensive knowledge of denture materials, tools, and techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with other departments.
- Certification in dental technology is a plus but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
