Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our dental office. This role requires a blend of administrative skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and familiarity with dental software systems.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage their check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems.
- Process patient payments and insurance claims as necessary.
- Assist with filing, data entry, and other administrative tasks to support office operations.
- Answer multi-line phone systems and direct calls appropriately.
- Ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming for patients.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental software such as cleardent and familiarity with MaxAssist.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental practices.
- Previous experience in a dental setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records.
- Ability to operate multi-line phone systems effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff professionally.
