Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Dental Assistant floater /Receptionist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be providing exceptional patient service while managing dental assisting and administrative tasks. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the office, contributing to a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Assist in dental procedures ranging through restorative, endodontic, surgical and orthodontic.
- Sterilization of dental instruments using IPAC protocols.
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental calendar efficiently.
- Handle patient inquiries, providing information about services and procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Curve Hero dental software.
- Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance information.
- Assist with billing inquiries and payment processing.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
- Keep the office clean, organized and welcoming for patients.
Skills
- Level 1 dental assistant certification in Ontario.
- HARP certified.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and orthodontics.
- Experience in dental assisting or as a dental receptionist is a plus.
- Proficiency in dental software systems (Curve hero) is highly desirable. On site training for dental software is available.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff professionally.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
