Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills, particularly in pediatrics and orthodontics.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Manage patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties when necessary, including answering phone calls and greeting patients.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and best practices is essential.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable.
- Experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
