Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping others.
Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all supplies are stocked and ready for use.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment notes.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and high standards of patient care.
- Ability to adapt and work under pressure.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience or familiarity with the following skills:
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures.
- Knowledge of dental software systems such as Dentrix.
- Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Qualification
- Diploma of dental assistant level 1 or 2.
- IPAC training .
- HIPPA certification.
