Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist with various procedures. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills to ensure a comfortable experience for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans, using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies, ensuring that all materials are stocked and organized.
- Perform sterilization of instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area.
- Schedule appointments and assist with front desk duties as needed, including handling patient inquiries.
- Support orthodontic procedures and assist with pediatric patients when required.
Experience
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with familiarity in orthodontics being a plus.
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial.
- Experience working with children in a pediatric setting is an advantage.

Contract length: 3 weeks
Pay: $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
