Position Summary:
The Automotive Parts Driver is responsible for the safe, timely delivery of automotive parts to wholesale customers throughout Calgary. In addition to driving duties, this role provides vital support to the parts warehouse team by assisting with shipping and receiving operations, maintaining accurate inventory, and helping retail and wholesale customers at the parts counter when needed. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, working with a team, and providing excellent service in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver automotive parts to wholesale customers
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and organizing inventory
- Help maintain a clean and efficient warehouse
- Support retail and wholesale customers at the counter when needed
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment
- Load and unload parts from vehicles safely
- Ensure delivery routes are completed in a timely and professional manner
- Communicate delivery updates and resolve any issues with customers or the Parts Manager
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (some post-secondary or technical training is a plus)
- Prior experience in an automotive parts or warehouse environment preferred
- Valid Alberta driver’s license with an acceptable driver's abstract
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail
- Friendly and professional demeanor when dealing with customers
- Ability to lift parts up to 50 lbs, and work on your feet throughout the shift
- Familiarity with electronic parts catalog systems is an asset (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to read, write and converse in the English language to work with customers regarding Parts deliveries and orders as needed
- Driving safely in various weather conditions throughout the GTA
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching
- Occasional ladder use to access high storage
