Overview
The Data Centre Expert at Lexia Communications Inc. will play a key role in designing, auditing, and maintaining efficient, high-availability data center facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data center life cycles, redundancy standards, energy efficiency metrics, and technical compliance frameworks.

As we continue to expand and optimize our infrastructure, we are seeking a highly skilled and Certified Data Centre Expert to support the design, implementation, and validation of mission-critical data center projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in site selection and design requirements to establish a reliable and scalable Data Centre.
- Understand and incorporate all components vital to high-availability data center operations.
- Plan and support each stage of the Data Centre design lifecycle—from concept to commissioning and handover.
- Conduct technical evaluations, design reviews, and compliance audits aligned with TIA and other industry standards.
- Analyze technical and functional requirements using product datasheets and system specifications.
- Identify and resolve common design flaws, especially in electrical Single Line Diagrams and MEP documentation.
- Manage architectural, mechanical, electrical, and IT components, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Plan and execute decommissioning and transition activities for aging data center facilities.
- Oversee testing processes, including Individual Equipment Tests (IET) and Integrated Performance & Validation Testing (IPVT).
- Lead efforts on power and cooling configuration, including Delta-T, airflow (CFM), and redundancy levels (N, N+1, 2N).
- Ensure proper site conditions for floor loading, room sizing, cooling capacity, and power quality.
- Stay updated on data center models, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
- Organize and lead technical design review meetings with relevant stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Data Centre Expert (CDCE®) or equivalent industry-recognized certification.
- Proven experience in data center design, operations, and audits.
- Strong technical knowledge in electrical systems, cooling, and high-availability architecture.
- Familiarity with TIA-942 standards and other relevant data center compliance frameworks.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and equipment configurations.
- Strong analytical and project evaluation skills.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
