As our company continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated and custom cabinetmaker/ millworker to join our team.
Position Overview:
As a Custom Cabinetmaker / Millworker, you will bring not only the technical skills of a production shop worker but also the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings to fabricate high-quality, custom cabinetry and millwork components. You will be expected to troubleshoot and solve challenges during the fabrication process while working both independently and collaboratively to meet production targets. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with a wide range of woodworking machinery, a solid understanding of fabrication techniques, and a strong commitment to precision, safety, and exceptional craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
· Accurately interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
· Grade, select, and prepare wood and sheet goods to match veneers and project requirements.
· Operate a range of woodworking machinery, including (but not limited to):
jointer, planer, shaper, table saw, miter saw, drum sander, membrane press, and other equipment.
· Identify and resolve fabrication issues proactively and efficiently.
· Fabricate cabinetry and millwork components to precise measurements, meeting company quality standards and craftsmanship expectations.
· Work independently and collaboratively to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
· Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace by following all health and safety protocols.
· Utilize the company ERP system to manage job information, track materials, and support documentation.
Qualifications:
· 2–3 years of proven experience as a custom cabinetmaker, millwork fabricator, or in a similar role within the woodworking industry.
· Proficient in the safe and accurate use of shop equipment, including jointer, planer, shaper, table saw, miter saw, drum sander, and membrane press.
· Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing precise, high-quality workmanship.
· Ability to identify wood grain and color for veneer matching and fine detailing.
· Competence in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and design specifications.
· Solid knowledge of wood species, joinery techniques, hardware, and finishing practices.
· Physically capable of manual labor and operating machinery in a shop environment.
· Strong organization and documentation skills; attention to cleanliness and efficiency.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Positive, reliable, and team-oriented with a strong work ethic.
· Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
