Position Summary:
Responsible for managing sales operations, involved in the steps from the purchase of whole goods to final sale of machinery. They are to oversee several elements in the business, including hiring sales staff, growing the sales and rental division, as well as assisting with marketing and promotion.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee sales staff
Act as a mentor, coach and help keep staff motivated and organized
Major Account Sales
Work to identify and target key accounts and identify opportunities
Will be responsible for customer management and helping sales staff solve problems
Work with senior management on strategies and goals for market share growth
Assist with customer service and dispute resolution
Evaluate and improve operations within the sales department
Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
Assist with recruitment and training of new sales employees
Direct the employee assessment process for the branch
Ensure sales staff follow health and safety regulations
This position reports to senior company executives
Education, Skills, Experience and Requirements:
Proven experience in sales and as a Sales Manager or similar executive role
3+ years experience in a management role
Strong analytical ability
General computer skills with familiarity with Excel spreadsheets
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Customer service and sales experience/skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Valid Driver’s license
