Job Overview
We are seeking a Corporate Securities Paralegal with 4+ years' experience with fluent knowledge of BC corporate law, to join our positive, friendly and pro-active team. This position is ideally suited for someone looking for remote work and flexibility of hours on a part-time basis to start. The ideal candidate is a detailed and results-oriented thinker, organized, reliable, with good time management, writing and computer skills. While we provide detailed training and ongoing support, we are looking for a confident and resourceful individual who can take initiative to pick up and run with the immediate tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist with SEDAR+ and SEDI filings, including filings with the stock exchanges.
- Handle interim quarter and annual filings, including calculating filing fees, drafting resolutions and certifications.
- Corporate-related matters including drafting of resolutions and documents related to management/director changes and shareholder meetings.
- Securities-related transactions, including assisting with private placements, debt settlements, property acquisitions, option grants, drafting and filing exempt reports.
- Maintain stock option and warrant registers.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a paralegal or in a similar role within a corporate environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and skills in legal drafting, proofreading and clerical functions.
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on a positive, supportive attitude.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as being a great team player.
