Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
• Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are met.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and efficient workflow during busy periods.
• Contribute to menu planning by suggesting new dishes or improvements based on seasonal ingredients.
• Serve meals to guests, ensuring presentation meets the restaurant's standards.

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
• Strong culinary skills with the ability to create diverse meal options.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
• Previous restaurant experience is advantageous, particularly in high-volume settings.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being capable of working independently when required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
