Summary:
Hockley Valley Resort is looking for a dedicated Cook to join our culinary team. You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences by preparing high‑quality hot and cold dishes, upholding stringent food‑safety standards, and keeping our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of delicious meals for guests.
- Accurately measure, weigh, and mix ingredients per recipes.
- Cook meats, seafood, vegetables, and other food items using various methods such as grilling, boiling, baking, steaming, and frying.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and meet quality standards.
- Arrange and garnish dishes for an appealing presentation.
- Maintain efficiency in a fast-paced environment and meet time-sensitive demands.
- Keep kitchen equipment, tools, and workspaces clean and well-maintained.
- Assist in leading and motivating kitchen staff.
- Deliver an exceptional dining experience through flavorful and well-prepared dishes.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Culinary school degree (2+ years) preferred.
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking roles.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and health regulations.
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, grinders, and food processors.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
