RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research, write and edit communications materials for internal and external publications including graphic design and editing of video content.
  • Support the management of hospital social media and web pages, ensuring all materials are aligned with established guidelines and assist with the management of the department’s mailbox.
  • Support the organization and promotion of activities including interviews, town halls, press conferences and other public relations events in the hospital; assisting in drafting memos, announcements and updates for review as needed
  • Other duties as may be operationally required

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Enrolled into a college diploma or University degree in a related field (Public Relations, Journalism, Communication, Marketing, Professional Writing)
  • Some related professional, co-op or volunteer experience.
  • Experience in graphic design
  • Required knowledge in WordPress, Microsoft 365, Canva, video editing and social media management tools.
  • Portfolio of graphic design and video samples

PREFERRED:

  • College diploma or University degree in a related field (Public Relations, Journalism, Communication, Marketing, Professional Writing)
  • 1-2 years of related professional or volunteer experience.
  • Preferred knowledge in HTML/CSS, SEO/SEM, Digital storytelling frameworks, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Social Marketing Certification.
