Job Purpose
The Field Supervisor will provide supervision, oversight and direction to our Medicine Hat region clients as assigned by the VP Service Delivery. The Field Supervisor will work closely with the VP and monitor the performance of front-line staff assigned to client sites.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide supervision, guidance and coordination to front line staff
- Follow up on issues related to short notice / emergency guard fills & replacements in conjunction with DCC
- Report incidents / issues that have the potential to affect the Company to the VP Service Delivery while keeping them informed (service failure, serious injury/event, critical security incident etc.)
- Ensure site documentation is up to date (post orders, training records, FLHA’s etc.)
- Establish and update site SOPs as needed
- Regular and frequent site visits and no-notice inspections to perform quality assurance inspections on front-line staff
- Support the completion of performance evaluations for front-line staff
- Other duties assigned by the VP Service Delivery
Education Requirements
- Alberta Security Guard License (prerequisite)
- Standard or Emergency first aid certificate (prerequisite)
- A suitable combination of education and experience
- Class 5 Drivers License
Knowledge Requirements
- Intermediate knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards Code and Alberta Human Rights Act
- Ability to work comfortably in a team environment, multi-task, and support concurrent requirements for different internal and external customers
- Qualified to Commissionaires Supervisors Course (CSC) Level II or willing to attend course
Skills/ Attributes Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain Reliability Clearance as per site requirements. (5 years in Canada)
- Display good decision making, problem solving skills and possess strong oral/written communication skills
- Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Leadership skills with demonstrated ability to form and maintain long-term positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Must be able to deal with difficult issues and maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality
- Manage and prioritize numerous tasks that are time sensitive
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
- Work weeks are 40 hours per week; weekend availability is required.
- Some adjustment in hours may be required to ensure proper interaction with all shift work staff
- Local travel will be required using a marked Company vehicle
- Working conditions will include inside and outside work
