WHO WE ARE
Barrie North Winter Tennis is an innovative leader in providing affordable and accessible year-round tennis throughout the Greater Barrie Area. Our mission is to grow the game of tennis in the surrounding communities by providing something for everyone.
Barrie North Winter Tennis consists of 4 tennis courts under a heated, air-supported dome. Our winter facility is accompanied by the clubhouse, which includes Men’s and Ladies’ change rooms with showers, a lounge, and Pro Shop. Although the Club is primarily geared to the members, Group Lessons form a large part of our business as we offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced lesson programs for non-members, juniors, and adults alike. BNWT is home to Barrie's only junior competitive tennis team - the SkyHawks!
JOB SUMMARY
Club managers are accountable for every aspect of the tennis club’s operations, ensuring the facility provides a world- class experience for our members and guests.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership and People Management
- Shape the culture of the club based on the company’s mission, vision, and values.
- Establish a supportive, productive, and collaborative environment for all team members.
- Support ongoing learning and development of staff by providing direct feedback, training, mentoring, career path guidance, and addressing performance concerns.
Club Operations
- Make decisions to maintain efficiency and effectiveness of the club’s operations.
- Maintain accurate financial records.
- Manage the club’s social media and communications channels.
- Manage facility upkeep and maintenance.
Guest Experience
- Create a welcoming environment in which visitors and employees are being greeted, informed, and directed in a warm, courteous, and professional manner.
- Ensure that all aspects of the club are operating to a standard that provides an excellent experience for all members and guests.
- Resolve customer’s concerns and complaints in a timely manner.

EXPERIENCE
Work experience in leadership or people management. Knowledge of the game of tennis is preferred.
JOB ASSETS (I.E., NICE TO HAVE; NOT REQUIRED)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Experience: 1 year retail or sales specific management experience
AVAILABILITY:
Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
