We are a growing company seeking talented Child and Youth Workers to be with us while we grow.
We are currently hiring in Burlington, Ontario for the position of: Child and Youth Worker(s) (Full-time, Part-time, and Casual/Relief Positions Available)
We are looking for innovative and creative Child and Youth Care Workers to provide care, supervision, and support to young people with complex needs. The work is varied and will include relationship building, planning, and participating in social and recreational activities including teaching life skills, providing educational supports and developing and implementing individualized intervention plans.
The successful applicant(s) must be confident, energetic, adaptable, patient, self-aware, physically active, and able to safely intervene in crisis situations. Shift work, including weekends, and overnights is required.
Qualifications: To be successful in this role, the candidate is required to have:
- Child and Youth Worker Diploma/Degree or Developmental Services Worker Diploma/ or Social Service Worker Diploma
- Registration with the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care would be considered an asset.
- A comprehensive working knowledge of all relevant regulations and legislation pertaining to children’s services in Ontario (Child and Youth Family Services Act and Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services Licensing standards).
- A minimum of 1 year experience, with preference given to those that have worked with children in Foster Care and / or Alternate Care settings
- Ability to work a rotational schedule including evenings, weekends and overnights.
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to supporting individuals from diverse cultures, experiences and backgrounds
- Must have valid First Aid, CPR and current certification in an approved Crisis Prevention and Intervention Program
- A valid G license with a clean driving record and daily access to a safe/reliable vehicle with a minimum of $2-Million liability insurance
- A current Broad Range Check (Police Screening) and Child Welfare Screening
- Proof of update to medical immunizations and health assessment from a registered healthcare professional Key Assets Offers:
- Competitive salary commensurate with education and experience starting at $26.00/ hr (Key Assets pays $23.00 + $3.00 top up from government funding)
