Qohash is reshaping enterprise data security. We're building a next-generation data security platform (DSP) purpose-built for organizations operating at petabyte scale. Our architecture enables real-time visibility and control over sensitive data spread across cloud, on-premise, and endpoint environments - without moving the data.

We serve highly regulated industries where data protection, compliance, and digital sovereignty are non-negotiable. Our approach drives immediate, high-impact outcomes for security and compliance teams.

Unlike legacy solutions that rely on centralized scanning and opaque foreign components, Qohash delivers edge-centric intelligence, granular tracking of sensitive data elements, and a flat-rate pricing model built for clarity and scale. All software is developed, maintained in Canada.

Position Overview:

Qohash is hiring a Chief Financial Officer to lead our financial strategy and support the company through its next phase of growth and institutional financing.

You’ll report directly to the CEO and join the executive team as a key decision-maker. This role combines strategic financial leadership, investor readiness, and the mandate to build and scale an internal finance function.

Today, our core financial operations are currently outsourced to a professional finance services provider. We’re now insourcing the function, and the CFO will lead that transition. You’ll define what gets built in-house, what remains external, and how to structure the team and systems for scale.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a leader who thrives in high-growth SaaS environments and is ready to architect the financial engine of a fast-scaling company.

Key responsibilities:

  • Financial strategy and executive decision support. Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team. Deliver financial visibility, scenario planning, and actionable insights to guide growth and company priorities.
  • Success indicators: Forecast accuracy, clarity of reporting, quality of strategic input.
  • Fundraising preparation, capital planning, and investor relations. Own the financial narrative, models, and due diligence process for upcoming equity financing. Prepare and present board materials, support investor meetings, and shape the financial story that underpins Qohash’s capital strategy.
  • Success indicators: Readiness for financing, clarity of board communications quality of investor-facing materials, successful close of the financing round.
  • SaaS metrics and performance management. Establish robust SaaS KPI tracking (CAC, payback, LTV/CAC, NRR, rule of 40, churn, margin) and provide data-driven insights to optimize go-to-market efficiency.
  • Success indicators: Consistent KPI improvements, actionable insights delivered to cross-functional teams.
  • Planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Lead company-wide financial planning and build scalable forecasting models that support growth, hiring, and capital allocation.
  • Success indicators: Planning discipline, ability to adapt to different growth scenarios, alignment with business needs.
  • Finance function design and buildout. Define and execute the roadmap to in-house finance maturity. Determine the right team, tools, and external relationships to scale operations.
  • Success indicators: Effective transition plan, scalable financial processes, right sized finance organization.
  • Governance, compliance, and risk management. Ensure audit readiness, tax compliance, internal controls, and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Success indicators: Clean audits, minimized risk exposure, operational readiness for institutional scrutiny.

What you bring:

  • 12-18 years of experience in progressive finance positions, with a minimum of 5 years as a VP of Finance or Chief Financial Officer
  • Senior finance leadership experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment
  • Experience building finance operations from the ground up
  • Strong track record in FP and A, SaaS metrics, capital planning, and board/investor communications
  • Excellent business judgment and ability to operate as a peer to the CEO and executive team
  • Highly analytical, systems-savvy, and able to build from first principles when needed
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA is a strong asset
  • Bilingual in English and French
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, remote-first company

What to expect:

  • You’ll lead the transition from outsourced finance to a modern, high-functioning internal capability
  • You’ll prepare the company for a major institutional financing event
  • You’ll build the financial operating model that supports scale, transparency, and discipline
  • You’ll work with a committed executive team, clear ownership, and strong board support

What’s in it for you?

  • Competitive salary range.
  • Enjoy up to six weeks of paid time off annually. At Qohash, we recognize your dedication and believe in giving you ample time to rejuvenate.
  • Comprehensive health benefits package, including life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, paramedical and telemedicine services, and an HSA account.
