- Evaluates the chemical and physical properties of various organic and/or inorganic substances
- Utilizes established methods and procedures and laboratory equipment to perform analytical testing of substances
- May conduct method validation and Lead method development, interprets, and develops conclusions using the data obtained
- May draft method validation, transfer, or qualification protocols.
- Interprets and develops conclusions using the data obtained.
- Conducts investigations for failures/deviations/out of spec results.
- Drafts client reports and consults on quotes.
- May draft new SOPs or revise existing SOPs
- May assume a team lead role for the work group by delegating work to more junior colleagues.

- Ability to conduct analysis through approximately 50%-75% methods/techniques/equipment available in the department.

- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in analytical chemistry or life sciences (microbiology, etc.)
- 3-6 years relevant experience with BS Degree / 2-5 years with Master's Degree or PhD
