Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
- Monitor food quality and freshness, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
- Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on cooking techniques and best practices.
- Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in the hospitality or food service industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to thrive under pressure during busy service periods.
- Familiarity with restaurant management principles is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
