G&G Kitchen and Tap, located in beautiful Sicamous is a well known hot spot serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. We are known for our scratch made comfort food cooking at affordable prices. G&G is a favourite with locals and tourists alike. We provide an industry leading tip out program for our kitchen staff. We believe great food is essential for great service and we work as a cohesive team to deliver high quality results to the customer.
We are looking for a team orientated cook that can work evening shifts from 2 pm to 9 pm
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, marinating, and seasoning
- Cook and assemble dishes according to recipes and presentation specifications
- Plate dishes
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized
- Ensure the line is stocked and prepped for service
- Assist with daily prep tasks
Skills and traits
- Skilled in cooking western cuisine/comfort food but not a requirement
- Familiar with food safety and hygiene procedures
- Able to work well in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Able to work well under pressure
- Have a understanding of different flavor profiles
- Possess excellent time management skills
- Have high attention to detail
- Have expertise in seasoning, garnishing, and creative displays
- Be a team player with excellent communication
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for and extended times
Wages are based on skills and abilities but we pay competitively and coupled with our tip out system for the kitchen our pay package is attractive.
