Overall Purpose:
To manage the SafeHope Home Care Team and overall maintenance workings of the residential program.
General Duties:
- Consider and adhere to risk management and participant protection policies and procedures
- Maintain proper procedures and paperwork, ensuring ethical guidelines
- Adhere to privacy and confidentiality agreements
- Follow the mandate of the organization
- Participate in team approach to problem solving and goal setting
Primary Duties:
- Facilitate onboarding of new participants in the home with Manager of Care and Intake
- Collaborate with Manager of Care and Intake on all intakes
- Works closely with Manager of Care and Intake to ensure a collaborative approach between the residential program and day program as well as ensuring the participants recovery goals are being supported in both settings
- Supervise & support Care Team
- Be on rotating schedule for on-call/relief with Manager of Care and Intake and other Team Leads, including holidays.
- Debrief with Care Team biweekly
- To complete quarterly Care Team performance evaluations with Manager of Care and Intake
- Facilitate Care Team meetings monthly with Manager of Care and Intake
- Ensure all Care Team CRMS notes are up to date and input properly
- Directly responsible for all training of new Care Staff, unless otherwise approved and to be completed when participants are not present in the home
- Manage participant MAR sheets in co-operation with Manager of Care and Intake
- Develop and review residential documents/forms and programs
- Ensure the adherence to residential rules
- Complete shift schedule for Care Team staff
- Attend weekly team meetings and monthly team debriefs
- Ensure maintenance of the residential home
- Communicate regularly and work collaboratively with Program staff and Management to maintain consistency in participant support
- Support Health & Safety Rep
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in a residential housing environment
- Working towards a degree in Social work
- Strong communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to manage a team
- Strong organizational skills
- Valid G licence is manadatory
- Conflict resolution skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
