RINA is currently recruiting for a Canada Marine Digital Solutions Business Development Director to join its team in Vancouver within the Marine Digital Solutions Division.
The ideal candidate will possess 10+ years seafaring experience and 10+ years background in shipping companies, particularly in roles such as fleet performance manager or senior positions focused on energy efficiency projects for vessels. He also should have experience in Sertica Performance Management tool, be able to explain the value proposition of the tool, be able to carry out performance analysis inside the tool and technically discuss with Canadian shipowners about tool adoption. The candidate should also have experience in machine learning and AI techniques to process ship performance high frequency data to create value for shipowners.
Key Accountabilities
·Coordinating and managing retrofitting projects oriented towards enhancing vessel energy efficiency (i.e. energy saving devices adoption, air lubrication, propeller re-blading, …).
·Assisting RINA Digital Solution customers with data analysis and the preparation of reports.
·Consulting with customers to design management reports that provide an overview of all energy-saving initiatives and other retrofits such as scrubbers and ballast water treatment systems (BWTS).
·Managing projects aimed at improving the thermodynamic efficiency of vessels and optimizing specific fuel consumption (i.e. engine derating).
·Supporting the development of new solutions within RINA Digital Solutions, especially in technical fleet management, leveraging on AI and GenAI.
· Promoting RINA Digital Solutions to both existing and potential new customers.
