Job Overview:
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Cake Decorator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, icing, and decorating cakes to meet both custom and daily display needs. You’ll play a key role in creating beautiful, high-quality cakes that reflect our commitment to excellence and delight our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, frost, and decorate cakes for daily display and special orders
- Work with buttercream, ganache, fondant, piping, and other decorating mediums
- Customize cakes based on customer requests and design specifications
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation
- Ensure consistency in quality, presentation, and portioning
- Assist with baking and preparing cake layers and fillings as needed
- Stay updated on decorating trends and bring new ideas to the team
- Manage timelines for multiple cake orders and meet deadlines
- Communicate with front-of-house staff regarding cake orders and pickups
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in cake decorating (portfolio or photos of work is a plus)
- Strong artistic and piping skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- Culinary or pastry school training is an asset but not required

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
